Mode: Flatten into content (Phase 2 — annotations become part of the page drawing).

Your file never leaves this device for this operation.
How it works
- Upload the PDF you want to mark up.
- Choose area or text highlight, sticky note, or page comment and add items on the active page.
- Edit or delete items in the sidebar, then flatten into content and download.
Privacy
This tool runs in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to process it.
Limits
- Export mode is flatten-into-content only (not a separate editable annotation layer).
- Text highlight selects glyphs inside a rectangle via the PDF text layer; scanned pages without text need OCR elsewhere.
- Not a real-time collaboration or review workflow tool.
FAQ
- Can reviewers reply to comments?
- No. This is a local markup tool. Comments are burned into the page on export.
- Will highlights stay editable after download?
- No. Flattened highlights become drawn rectangles in page content.
