PDF to Excel

Find table-like text grids and export selected ones to .xlsx. Detection is heuristic from the text layer — not a pixel-perfect spreadsheet recreation.

PDF to Excel

Detect tables from the PDF text layer and export selected ones to .xlsx. Layout is heuristic — not pixel-perfect.

Partially local

Drop a PDF here or click to browse

Mostly browser-local — optional steps may leave the device with consent

Scanned PDFs

Table detection uses the embedded text layer. Scanned or image-only PDFs need OCR. OCR uploads page images to the server — enable only if you consent.

Most work runs in your browser; optional steps may upload with consent.

How it works

  1. Upload a PDF that contains a selectable text layer.
  2. Review detected tables and choose which sheets to keep.
  3. Export an .xlsx file processed in your browser.

Privacy

Local table detection never uploads. Optional OCR uploads page images to the API only after you check the consent box.

Limits

  • Works best on digital PDFs with aligned columns; layout is approximate.
  • Scanned PDFs without a text layer need the optional OCR path (with consent).
  • Merged cells, nested tables, and complex borders are not reconstructed.

FAQ

Will every table look identical to the PDF?
No. Cells are clustered by text position. Expect a useful starting sheet, not a pixel-perfect clone.
Does this upload my PDF?
Not for local detection. If you enable OCR table detection, page images are uploaded to the conversion API with your explicit consent.
